Leeds Rhinos Legends Terms of Service
Also known as our Terms and Conditions.
Version LRL-TOS-1.0. Effective date: 11 September 2026.
1. About these Terms
Who we are
Leeds Rhinos Legends is operated by Virtual Sport Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15793472. Our registered office is Sticks & Glass, York Place Buildings 6-8, York Place, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, LS1 2DS. We use the brands Virtual Sport Group and SportX. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Virtual Sport Group Ltd, and "you" means the person using the app.
You can contact us at info@virtualsportgroup.com.
What these Terms cover
These Terms apply to the Leeds Rhinos Legends app on Android XR devices (from Google Play) and on Meta Quest devices (from the Meta Horizon Store), the online services the app connects to, and SportX Pro membership. We call all of this "the app".
By downloading, installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Our Privacy Notice explains how we use your personal data. It is not part of these Terms, but please read it.
App stores
You get the app from Google Play or the Meta Horizon Store. Your use of those stores, and any payment you make through them, is also governed by the store's own terms. If these Terms and the store's terms conflict about how a purchase is made, billed or refunded, the store's terms apply to that purchase. Google and Meta are not responsible for the app or its content, and they are not parties to these Terms.
Your legal rights
The app is for personal, non-commercial use. Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Where these Terms describe a right or a remedy, it is in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them.
2. Who can use the app
You must be 16 or over to use the app. If you are under 16, please do not use it.
If you are 16 or 17, please read these Terms with a parent or guardian. You need their permission before buying a SportX Pro membership.
You must not use the app if we have previously banned you from it, or if the law where you live prohibits you from using it.
Some features and content are not available on every device or in every country.
3. Your account
You can browse the library artwork without an account. You need an account to use other features, including playing restricted videos, saving videos to My List, joining voice lobbies and parties, and using SportX Pro.
When you create an account you must:
- give accurate information
- keep your sign-in details secure and not share your account with anyone else
- tell us promptly at info@virtualsportgroup.com if you think someone else has used your account.
You are responsible for activity on your account unless it happened because we failed to keep our systems secure.
4. What the app includes
The app gives you:
- a video library of Leeds Rhinos matches, highlights, interviews and club content, which you can watch in XR
- a virtual Headingley stadium experience
- public voice lobbies where you can talk with other fans, and private parties with your friends
- My List, where you can save videos
- SportX Pro membership, which unlocks restricted content and features
- on Meta Quest, the Legends Tunnel, with digital companions that guide you and answer your questions.
SportX Pro is sold in the Android XR app through Google Play. It is not sold in the Meta Quest app. If your account has SportX Pro, you can use it in the Meta Quest app by signing in with the same account.
Digital companions
The digital companions in the Legends Tunnel use artificial intelligence to understand what you say and reply. Please remember:
- their replies are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything important with another source
- they do not speak for Leeds Rhinos, its players or staff, or for us
- you should not tell them personal information about yourself or anyone else
- the community rules in section 8 apply to what you say to them.
Our Privacy Notice explains how your voice is processed when you talk to a digital companion.
Content changes over time
Our video library depends on licences from Leeds Rhinos and other rights holders. We add and remove content from time to time, and some content may only be available for a limited period or in certain countries. We cannot promise that any particular video or feature will always be available.
If we make a change that significantly reduces what SportX Pro gives you, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can, and you can cancel your membership. Section 6 explains what happens to payments in that case.
What you need
You need a compatible device, a supported version of its operating system and an internet connection. Your internet provider may charge you for the data the app uses, and streaming XR video can use a lot of data. We may release updates, and some features may not work until you install them.
5. SportX Pro membership
SportX Pro is an optional paid membership. It unlocks restricted videos and other members-only features. You can still browse the library artwork without it.
Plans and prices
SportX Pro is available as a monthly or a yearly membership. In the UK it costs £5.99 a month or £59.90 a year. Prices in other countries are set in local currency and may be different. The price you will pay is shown in Google Play before you confirm your purchase.
Who sells SportX Pro
You buy SportX Pro in the Android XR app through Google Play. Google sells it to you on our behalf and handles payment, billing, tax and refunds. Your purchase is also covered by the Google Play Terms of Service. We are responsible for providing the membership benefits described in these Terms.
SportX Pro is not sold in the Meta Quest app. Any purchase you make in the Meta Horizon Store, including the app itself if it is not free, is covered by Meta's terms and refund policy.
Free trials and introductory prices
If we offer a free trial or an introductory price, Google Play will show you how long it lasts, what you will pay when it ends and when you will first be charged, before you confirm. Unless you cancel before the trial or introductory period ends, your membership will continue at the regular price. Offers may be limited to new members and may not be available in every country.
Automatic renewal
Your membership renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and Google Play charges you for the next period, until you cancel. If a renewal payment fails, Google Play may give you time to update your payment details. If the payment is still not made, your SportX Pro benefits will stop.
Price changes
We may change the price of SportX Pro. If we increase the price of your existing membership, Google Play will tell you before the change. In most countries you need to accept the new price to keep your membership. If you do not accept it, your membership will end at the end of the period you have already paid for.
Using SportX Pro on your devices
Your membership is linked to the account you are signed in with when you buy it. To use it on another device, including in the Meta Quest app, sign in with the same account.
6. Cancelling, refunds and your legal rights
Cancelling your membership
You can cancel SportX Pro at any time in Google Play, either at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions or under Payments and subscriptions in the Google Play app. When you cancel, you will not be charged again, and you keep your benefits until the end of the period you have paid for.
Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel your membership. You need to cancel in Google Play.
Refunds
Google handles refunds for purchases made through Google Play, under the Google Play refund policies. You can ask Google for a refund through Google Play.
Unless the law says otherwise, we do not refund a membership period that has already started, but you keep your benefits until the end of that period. We may give a full or partial refund in individual cases, for example if a problem on our side stopped you using SportX Pro. If you cancel because we have made a change that significantly reduces what SportX Pro gives you (see section 4), you can ask us to refund the part of the period you have paid for but not used. Any refund we give is made through Google Play.
Your right to cancel within 14 days
If you live in the UK or the European Union, you normally have a legal right to cancel a purchase of digital content or digital services within 14 days. When you buy SportX Pro through Google Play, Google handles this right under the Google Play Terms of Service. You may lose the right to cancel once you have asked for immediate access and started using the content. For services, if you cancel within 14 days after asking for them to start straight away, you may have to pay for what you have already used.
This is separate from your right to cancel your membership at any time so that it does not renew.
If something goes wrong
The law says that digital content and services must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and that services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. If something is wrong with SportX Pro, please contact us at info@virtualsportgroup.com so we can try to fix it. Depending on the problem, you may be entitled to a repair or replacement, or to some or all of your money back. Where a refund is due, we will arrange it through Google Play.
For advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice if you live in the UK, or a consumer advice organisation in your country.
If you live in the United States
SportX Pro is an automatically renewing subscription. It continues until you cancel. Google Play charges the price shown when you subscribed, or any new price you have been told about, at the start of each monthly or yearly period. You can cancel online at any time in Google Play, as described above, and your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
7. Voice chat, lobbies and parties
Voice chat lets you talk live with other users. It needs permission to use your device's microphone. You can refuse or withdraw that permission in your device settings at any time, but voice chat and the digital companions will not work without it.
- Public voice lobbies are open to any signed-in user and hold up to 16 people. The other people in a public lobby are usually strangers.
- Private parties are only for people on your friends list. You add friends using their friend code. Neither of you can invite the other if either has blocked the other.
Other people in a lobby or party can see your display name and hear what you say. You can leave a lobby or party at any time.
Your voice controls
You can mute your own microphone, use push-to-talk so that others only hear you while you hold the button, and mute other users so that you no longer hear them.
Recording
We do not record or transcribe voice chat, with one exception. While you are in a lobby or party, the app keeps the last 30 seconds of its audio on your device, replacing it continuously. If you report someone, that clip is sent with your report so our team can review what happened. Reported clips are deleted after 30 days. Our Privacy Notice explains this in more detail.
Display names
Your display name is shown to other users. It must follow the community rules in section 8. It must not include your full name, contact details or other personal information, or pretend to be someone else. We may change a display name that breaks these rules back to the default name.
If you are 16 or 17
Public lobbies can include adults you do not know. Never share personal information, photos, your location or contact details with people you meet in the app, and never agree to meet them. Leave the lobby and report anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable.
8. Community rules
These rules apply everywhere in the app, including voice lobbies, private parties, display names and anything else you share with other users.
You must not:
- harass, bully, threaten, intimidate or stalk anyone
- use hate speech, or attack anyone because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age
- share sexual or pornographic content, or say anything sexual to or about anyone under 18
- threaten or encourage violence or terrorism
- encourage or give instructions for suicide, self-harm or eating disorders
- encourage dangerous stunts or challenges, or the use of harmful substances
- commit or promote fraud or scams
- ask other users for personal information, contact details, money, or to move to another platform
- impersonate anyone, including club players, staff or our team
- promote or sell goods or services, or spam
- share content that infringes someone else's rights, or is otherwise unlawful
- play music, broadcasts or other audio you do not have the right to share
- disrupt lobbies, for example by making loud or repeated noise
- cheat, exploit bugs, or use the app in ways it is not designed for.
You are responsible for what you say and share in the app. Remember that people in public lobbies are strangers. Do not share personal information about yourself or anyone else.
Child safety
We do not tolerate child sexual exploitation or abuse. This includes sharing or asking for sexual images of anyone under 18, and trying to groom, sexually exploit or arrange to meet a child. We will close the account of anyone who does this and report them to the police or other relevant authorities. Please report any concern to info@virtualsportgroup.com straight away. If a child is in immediate danger, call the emergency services.
9. Reporting, blocking and moderation
Blocking
You can block another user in the app. Blocking someone removes them from your friends list, cancels any friend requests between you, stops either of you inviting the other to a private party and keeps you out of the same public lobby. You can unblock them later.
Reporting
You can report another user in the app. Choose the reason (harassment, hate, spam or other) and tell us what happened. You can also report a problem by emailing info@virtualsportgroup.com. Please include the other user's display name, when it happened and what was said. When you report someone from a lobby or party, the last 30 seconds of audio is sent with your report (see section 7).
Our team reviews reports. We aim to review each report within 5 working days, and sooner where someone's safety may be at risk. If you have been reported, we will usually tell you if we take action against your account.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services straight away.
What we may do
If we find that someone has broken these Terms, we may take one or more of these steps, depending on how serious the breach is:
- warn them
- change their display name
- restrict their use of voice chat, lobbies or parties
- suspend or close their account (see section 10)
- report the matter to the police or other authorities, where the law requires it or someone is at risk of serious harm.
How we moderate
Reports are reviewed by people on our team. We do not use automated systems to make moderation decisions. We do not check everything users say, and we cannot guarantee that everyone will follow these rules.
Complaints and appeals
You can complain to us by emailing info@virtualsportgroup.com if:
- you think content or behaviour in the app is illegal or breaks these Terms
- you disagree with action we have taken against you, your account or something you said or shared
- you think we have not followed these Terms or the law in how we keep users safe.
We will look into your complaint, tell you what we have decided and explain why. If you ask us to review a decision we made about you, we will reconsider it and tell you the outcome. If we find that we got it wrong, we will reverse the action. This does not affect your right to go to court.
10. Suspending or ending your access
We may suspend or restrict your access to voice features or your account, or close your account, if we reasonably believe that:
- you have broken these Terms, particularly the community rules in section 8
- your use of the app puts other users, us or anyone else at risk
- we need to do so to comply with the law or a request from a regulator, the police or a court.
What we do will be proportionate to what happened. We will usually tell you what we have done and why, unless doing so would put someone at risk or be unlawful. If you think we got it wrong, you can ask us to review the decision by emailing info@virtualsportgroup.com.
Closing your account under this section does not by itself cancel a SportX Pro membership bought through an app store. Section 6 explains how cancellation and refunds work in that case.
You can stop using the app at any time.
11. Content, intellectual property and club rights
The app and everything in it, including its software, design, the virtual stadium, video, images, text, sound, names and logos, belongs to us or to the people who license it to us.
The Leeds Rhinos names, crest, logos, player images, match footage and other club content are used under licence and remain the property of their owners.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and watch its content on your own compatible devices for your own non-commercial use, in line with these Terms. This licence ends when your access to the app ends.
Unless the law allows it, you must not:
- copy, record, download, capture, rebroadcast or share video or other content from the app, except through a sharing feature we provide
- show content from the app in public or to a paying audience, for example in a bar, club or other business
- get around any access control, including the checks that limit restricted content to SportX Pro members
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the app, except where the law allows this and you cannot give up that right
- use the app or its content to train or develop artificial intelligence or machine learning systems
- use the club's or our names or logos without permission.
12. Health and safety in XR
Using a headset can affect your body and your awareness of your surroundings. Please:
- read and follow the health and safety information that came with your headset
- use the app in a safe, clear space, set up your headset's boundary or play area, and stay aware of people, pets and objects around you
- never use the app while driving, cycling, walking near traffic or doing anything else that needs your attention
- take regular breaks, even if you feel fine
- stop immediately if you feel dizzy, sick, disoriented, have eye strain or a headache, or feel any discomfort, and do not drive until you have fully recovered
- speak to a doctor before using XR if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, have had seizures, or have any other medical condition that motion or visual effects could affect
- keep your volume at a comfortable level, particularly in voice lobbies.
Video and virtual environments can include flashing lights, fast movement and loud crowd noise. Some people have seizures or blackouts when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, even if they have never had one before. If you have ever had a seizure, epilepsy or loss of awareness, speak to a doctor before using the app.
13. Other companies' services
The app relies on services from other companies, including Google (for Google Play, Google sign-in and Firebase), Meta (for the Meta Horizon Store and Quest devices), Epic Games (for Epic Online Services, which runs our voice lobbies and parties), Abyshire Technology Ltd (for the digital companions), RevenueCat (for managing memberships) and Cloudflare (for hosting and video delivery). Our Privacy Notice explains what personal data they handle.
If you choose to use another company's service through the app, such as signing in with Google, that company's terms and privacy policy also apply to that service.
14. Our responsibility to you
What we are responsible for
If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of our failure, or if you and we both knew it might happen when you started using the app.
What we do not limit
We do not exclude or limit our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- any breach of your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights that digital content is as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and that services are provided with reasonable care and skill
- anything else that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Damage to your device
If defective digital content we have supplied damages a device or digital content that belongs to you, and this happens because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation. We are not responsible for damage you could have avoided by following our advice to install a free update, or by meeting the minimum device requirements we tell you about.
Business losses
The app is for personal use only. We are not responsible to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of a third-party platform, an internet outage or a major power cut. If this happens, we will tell you where we can and take reasonable steps to limit the effect.
15. Changes to these Terms and to the app
We may change these Terms to reflect changes in the law, in our services or in how we run the app. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless we need to make it sooner for legal or safety reasons. If you do not agree to a change, you can stop using the app and cancel your membership before the change takes effect.
We may update and change the app, for example to improve it, fix problems or respond to changes in the law or in the platforms it runs on. We will make sure any change does not significantly reduce what SportX Pro gives you without telling you first, as set out in section 4.
If you live in the European Union and we make a change to SportX Pro that has more than a minor negative effect on your access to it or use of it, we will tell you clearly in advance. You can then end your membership free of charge within 30 days of the change, and we will refund the part of the period you have paid for but not used.
The version number and effective date at the top of these Terms show which version applies.
16. Complaints and disputes
If you have a problem or a complaint, please email info@virtualsportgroup.com and tell us what happened. We will try to resolve it quickly and fairly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can get free advice from Citizens Advice if you live in the UK, or from the European Consumer Centre in your country if you live in the European Union. You may also be able to use an alternative dispute resolution service.
For problems with a payment made through Google Play or the Meta Horizon Store, you can also contact the store directly.
17. Law and courts
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings about these Terms in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring proceedings in Scotland. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
If you live outside the UK, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws in the country where you live, and you may be able to bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in these Terms takes those rights away.
18. General terms
- Transferring these Terms. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, for example if we sell our business. We will tell you if this happens and make sure it does not reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else.
- Nobody else has rights under these Terms. These Terms are between you and us. No one else can enforce them.
- If a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest will continue to apply.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Language. These Terms are in English.
